Surely a OneWorld link between QF and QR at DOH will dilute QF's recent tie up with EK through DXB.

For those who are confused by my post.......
QF = Qantas
QR = Qatar Airways
EK = Emirates Airlines
DOH = Doha
DXB = Dubai
Not sure what other 'Plain English' I need - this is an aviation website after all!

I work in aviation myself, I knew the codes (except EK, you learn something every day), you have to confess though, just read out loud, it sound like gobbledigook.

Qatar Airways' oneworld benefits to begin Oct. 30
Qatar Airways' start date for participating in the oneworld frequent-flier alliance will be Oct. 30, the airline and the alliance revealed today.
Qatar Airways announced on Oct.8, 2012, that it would join oneworld, with the integration process expected to take 12 to 18 months. That left frequent-fliers of oneworld's other member carriers anticipating exactly when they'd be able to start earning and redeeming their miles on Qatar Airways' flights.
