"Anyone who’s been stranded in an airport knows those awkward chairs at the gate aren’t conducive to sleep—especially when you need it most. Enter the pod hotel, a small in-terminal hostelry comprised of mini-rooms where you can get some comfortable rest." (www.forbes.com) Más...

It's a great thing if your a non=rev that get's bumped late, but MUST have a shower! There should be a 4hr min. to make use of their use for down time and be in a quiet place. Overall, it's been a useful tool in Japan that I've heard.

What's next? Will we reduce the rooms to about the size of a confined single bed, similar to I believe the new Japanese hotels, which can be immediately rolled onto any aircraft and stacked like cord wood for transportation to your final destination? That should give the airlines a lot more passenger capacity per aircraft.

These are great. I stayed in the one in Amsterdam's airport a couple of times. Theirs was located inside the security zone, so you didn't have to go through security again -- as you would if you left the airport for a nearby hotel.

I find this really interesting. I wish the opportunities to invest in the Pod System were still available as it is a "Gold Mine". During the various insane times that are always going to happen at airports the urge to get away from the mob would have my credit card out really fast making this one of the best "Impulse purchases" I have ever seen!

I can see the expansion to the busier "Satellite Airports" for pilots to use especially in the case of weather or equipment delays allowing a quiet restful environment for such rest would go very far in reducing the fatigue factor in pilots that is being reviewed so closely at this time. I know the down side of this to some is the money involved but I am only commenting on the pro side of these ingenious futuristic looking rest machines.
