Airport jetbridges not long enough to reach plane from terminal

Wonderful. Why don't we have government do more for us--like running (or was that ruining) healthcare, etc.

Sounds more like a design problem. The Architects or Engineers must've miscalculated the length needed based on where the aircraft would have to park and where the doors on the aircraft are located. The Manufacturer of the jet bridges would have all the relevant specs and dimensions. I doubt seriously there could be such an error during construction. Door openings etc are pretty fixed dimensions in construction like that. If I'm not mistaken those jet bridges are pretty modular, so they should be able to add a section to them without it being a HUGE deal. PITA for sure, but not huge.

and just think, it was a baggage handler that probably figured it out.....while everyone else was running around panicing and trying figure out how they were going to get the passengers off the arriving flights he/she stood there for a moment and said "why don't they just pull the plane closer".
Do you mean that COMMON SENSE AND PRACTICALITY actually prevailed here????????????lol
