British Rear-Admiral Russ Harding, deputy commander of NATO’s Operation Unified Protector, announced the strike. He said that the Predator’s operators had noted civilians playing football near the targeted transporter-erector-launcher-and-radar (TELAR) vehicle and held their fire until they had moved away. This is a very well written article and really clearly spells out the potential "end of life" for the beloved and sexy fighter jet. I would hate to see them go, but this article really explained to me why they just might vanish and why.
