ICAO Commits To Net-Zero Emissions By 2050

All 193 International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) members have pledged to support the long-term aviation goal (LTAG) of net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 as the 41st Assembly comes to a close. The announcement comes after several years of planning and preparations following the historic Paris Agreement in 2015, with the United Nations agency developing the framework for the target in July. To me... It seems like ICAO has been smoking some mighty good stuff to believe that they will do this in less than 30 years. The Technology is not even close and to be totally net zero is the craziest statement that I have ever heard!

Does that mean that they are going to have Aircraft Carriers in position for Charging all along the Atlantic and Pacific! I hope they are CAT IIIb certified as sometimes there is bad weather! 200 miles is not a long jump!

Well kind of easy its stupid to start with thinking that batteries will be the answer to all. So far they have not been able to field any AC that can carry any payload other than a pilot. Most of these things are just lining the pockets of those trying to make a big score then fold. Two have already bit the dust one a Beaver the other a Cessna Caravan now the much touted airliner made a seven min flight at Moses Lake WA wow. Also wonder when the required material for them is going to run out?
