People's needs and wants vary.
I've been on 14 hour flights and stayed in my seat the entire time. I had a window seat and was happy to not have to get up when the traveler next to me did.
To me flying on a single-aisle jet isn't a huge inconvenience, and the new routes that this can open up in terms of airport size and passenger volumes on those routes can make single-aisle service attractive.

I don’t see people eager to spend even 6 hours on a single aisle jet, let alone 10 or 11 hours in that single aisle cabin.
