A Stearman PT-17 biplane was flown from Cotter, Arkansas to its new home in Scottsdale, Arizona. While the full history of this Stearman PT-17 biplane is unknown, it’s the same type of plane student pilots flew at Thunderbird Field II, now Scottsdale Airport, in preparation for WWII and will now be the centerpiece of a memorial to all veterans and the airport’s military history.
