The closest it will come to the U.S. with these certification flights is Iqualuit, Nunavut Territory, Canada. As to why this is so, your guess is as good as mine.
Why they go to Iqaluit? Cold weather testing. They used Iqaluit for the A380 cold weather testing as well.
I knew about the cold weather testing, my question, just like Hayden's question, was why they don't come to the USA.
