Essentially this is their way of turning the baggage fee into an early boarding fee...
I love it. If you can get more people in their seats before the overhead shuffle starts, that should mean quicker boarding times in total.
then see how many people instantly become bag-less......which will lighten up the plane.......which means more cashola for all........nice move American
What it doesn't help is A holes bashing others with their steamer trunks.
I think air rage will increase, people will be cheating...
An easier way would be to remove the overhead bins altogether and go back to hat racks!!!
