FARNBOROUGH: Yak-130's engine intakes cause confusion

The new Yak-130, like other russian jets such as the Mig-29, come equipped with an intake blanking system to prevent FOD ingestion. Apparently, due to some confusion about this feature, the Yak-130s were initially not allowed to take-off for their display at Farnborough because their intake doors were closed. those ATC guys need to let the pilot's worry about flying the planes and concentrate on directing them and assisting them!
