Bob Hoover has no peer in the air or on the ground. That's not just my opinion, it's the opinion of every former and current test pilot alive today.
Aircraft is a North American Rockwell Shrike Commander 500S, now at Udvar-Hazy. N500RA (Robert A!) is easily the most recognized Shrike in the world and was flown by Bob for 20 years in airshows around the globe.

If I could post in my own squawk, I'll say I recognized the silent professionalism as I have a friend who is the same way about his flying. It lends this form of travel it's due respect. I didn't realize this was THE Bob Hoover when I first squawked it, but afterwrads realized it was the same Bob Hoover that JHEM posted about in the discussion forum. He certainly is a model for all pilots, or any field for that matter. Now I'm honored to have squawked him. Cool.
