This is scarey. The eAPIS system was sold as a way to protect us from terrorists getting INTO the US. It turns out they are using the eAPIS info for departing flights to perform "random checks". Oh, and we need "permission" to leave, now. This is not an isolated incident, there have been a few similar incidents... and the system has only been active for a couple of weeks.
