Storm Damage to Lufthansa's A380-800s Leads to Price Adjustment in Airbus DealFRANKFURT, GERMANY — Lufthansa has reportedly sold six A380-800s at a lower than anticipated price after the aircraft suffered uninsured storm damage. With the incoming sharp rise in demand they're going to regret getting rid of these big planes. High volume routes will fill these planes completely.
They'll operate six which will be adequate.
Interesting article, but fails to mention where/when the storm occurred. Would've been interesting to read that tidbit.
