Farewell Boeing 747: Why it's the end for this double-deck, wide-bodied jet

When Pan Am's Clipper Flying Cloud became the first Boeing 747 to touch down at Sydney Airport in October 1970, crowds turned out to see the new jumbo jet. Qantas was an early adopter. This amazing aircraft changed how far we travel now. Nothing like this ever was thought of because they were smart and bright enough to try. Airbus really hasn't figured this out. Yes they built the biggest widest heaviest etc. It would never have happened if Boeing and Pan AM changed aviation with the best selling jumbo in history. It has to be the best aircraft of our time.
