Emirates plans world's longest flight
Emirates says a new route from Dubai to Panama City set to begin in 2016 will set a new world record for the longest flight at more than 17.5 hours. Emirates Airlines is planning on setting a new world record in February 2016 with flights between Dubai and Panama City. The company said the connection will result in the longest non-stop flight in the world, needing 17 hours and 35 minutes to cover the 13,821 kilometres. I think this is great for Emirates as they will be the first Middle-Eastern (or any Asian) airline to launch passenger service to Central America!
And how much quicker the flights would be if SSTS had evolved...
World Record? How about Singapore Air's discontinued flight from Singapore to New York - a bit over 9500 miles if my memory is correct.
History. They plan to resume with the A350 I believe.
This must be scheduled carriers only, because the military does longer routes on a weekly basis.

I don't think the military has anything with that kind of range.
