KBOS ATC: ILS 4R WINNI = wh-eye-nee?
Brief exchange between a Delta pilot and BOS approach. (www.youtube.com) Más...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
RNAV STAR approach to Wellington, New Zealand (NZWN) used to proceed DUNNO FICAN RUNTO DOGGI. It has since been changed because of complaints. Go figure.
I don't want to go to WINNI, I want to go to Miami, waaaa
So, along the path for WINNI, they need a BSTRD.
Who names the intersections?
Then there is: ILS 1R KMCI - SPICY BARBQ RIBBS; and ILS 16 KPSM - ITAWT ITAWA PUDYE
KPSM RNAV (GPS) 16 fixes are ITAWT ITAWA PUDYE TTATT, and the missed approach hold is IDEED! The other IAF is SATAN, which I think was the mean dog's name in the Sylvester and Tweety cartoons. Some controllers have a great sense of humor, if not also a little too much time on their hands? We used to use several of the funny SIDS, STARS, and Approaches to break-up the dry material at the USAF Advanced Instrument School. And yes, I had too much time on my hands too!
