Dutch student flies to Sydney, Nova Scotia by accident

The Canadian city is spelt Sidney - this might have been a useful clue together with the lay-over in Toronto or for that matter anywhere in Canada - but obviously some folk only read the price not their flight details.
And then there was the British couple who booked a flight from Birmingham - Alabama rather than the nearby one in the UK.

and then there's the one about the New Yorker with the heavy accent that wanted to go to Oakland CA but the ticket agent heard/gave him tickets to Aukland NZ
