Airline loses wheelchair-using granny for 11 hours
A family is fuming mad after an airline employee parked a wheelchair-using grandmother for 11 hours at an airport, having apparently forgotten her. Southwest gave her $200 in travel vouchers after she missed all her flights. (www.freep.com) Más...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
So Granny just sat there quietly for 11 hours? Why didn't she speak up?
Maybe she was left in a corner, you know , those corners where nobody goes to.
We should believe that she would have spoken up if she had seen somebody walking through the corner

this is why i don't fly southwest lol
$200.00 compensation for such a blunder?!?
This company does not have much respect or its customers?

Southwest is only peripherally involved here, it wasn't their employee or contractor.
It's true that the headline and article are not exactly fair to the airline -- the skycaps are airport employees that are assigned to assist the various airlines. That also explains why Southwest can't fire the person.
By the same token, the family deserves more than $200 in vouchers toward her next flight.

You may be correct, but the airline selling the ticket is the one we talk about ... This is what the "common" citizen will remember. in this business , forgetting an 85 years old passenger is unforgivable..
