Nice paint job, but as far as I know the USAF Thunderbirds never used this aircraft.

Brilliant! Great idea for a paint scheme..

The AF T-Birds have, in order, flown The F-84 Thunderjet, the F-84 Thunderstreak, the F-100 Super Sabre, the F-105 Thunder Chief, the F-4 Phantom, the T-38 Talon and the F-16 Fighting Falcon. History on this link. https://www.boldmethod.com/blog/lists/2014/07/thunderbirds-aircraft-history/

I was fortunate to be a member of the tanker task force that took the Thunderbirds to tour Central and South America in October of 1973. A trip I will never forget.

@Harry Ellett And I was a fortunate teenager sitting on the tarmac, heck I was sitting on the runway shoulder (safety was lax), right under the AF T-Birds when you came to São Paulo, Brazil. I will never forget it either! Never having seen their show before, and having the best seat in the house, it was absolutely awesome.
