Had a family friend training at Corpus Christie back in the early to mid sixties and he had to punch out of a F-9 Cougar. He said their is a pyrotechnics or explosive factory near where he had to eject.
TF-9J Cougar (original designation F9F-8T).
There is one of these types on static display at a community ballpark near a small town in Mississippi. Likely, that Cougar came from NAS Meridian, McCain Field.
