While at Misawa Air Base in 1980, luck was being at the end of the runway while two of these F-4s passed close overhead in afterburner. They took off like that while scrambling to meet passing Soviet aircraft. I had a great time while stationed there.
I don't know when the last F4 flew from there, but this is a beautiful shot that brought back some great memories. Thanks a lot!
