TOKYO2020 has been postponed due to covid19. I'm curious about the future of JA837J, whether it will fly again with a new year number at the next TOKYO20XX.

At this stage at least, confirmed for 2021. It would make sense to keep it and change the year, albeit a long promotion. Just curious Yoshihiro, considering your comment about the issues you had trying to get this photo, what camera, lens and settings did you use? There appears to be some compression suggesting a medium telephoto.

The camera used is a compact digital camera called SX740HS of Canon. The 40x optical zoom enables super-telephoto shooting. However, since it is a compact camera, it is not an enemy of a single-lens reflex camera in terms of image quality. I had a hard time shooting at night because I couldn't get the focus right.

Just had a check of that camera - impressive capabilities and great for getting photos through wire fences! Just keep practicing with getting it to focus where YOU want it to because you're taking some fine photos.

Thank you very much. I always carry this camera with me on my way to work so that I don't miss a chance to take a picture. I like it because the lens is so thin that it can go through the wire mesh.
