I can just barely remember seeing the apron at YSSY when the scene looked like this. I was in the second grade at school. Just a year before this shot they had lost a Viscount 700 series VH-TVC on departure out of Sydney heading for Canberra.

Very nice period photo thanks Ichiro. Shows how open and free we were then - able to walk near the aircraft and get good photos
