Hi Dan, I enjoy very much your great photos from the 70s and 80s. Why don't you tag the aircraft type - B703 in this case ? Now your photos unfortunately do not appear when searching for a specific aircraft type : http://flightaware.com/photos/aircrafttype/B703

Great pic, love this aircraft !
captct
It looks like the inboard left engine is missing in this photo.

captct. you mean the left outboard? its not in the frame
Gavin Hughes
Sam and captct - there appears to be some distortion in the picture(the only one of Dan's that I've noticed) making it look as if there's a large gap between the fuselage and the inboard left engine. That aside though, thanks to Dan for sharing all these great old photos.

There is actually no distortion. The correct terminology is perspective, naturally looking from this angle the inboard right engine appears to be jammed against the fuselage while the opposite is apparent with the left inboard. There is no distortion in this image. Look at your personal aircraft, when you look from an oblique angle, do all the parts look the same from that angle?
Roy Hunte
Sorry just a technical rant. Though most photographers know what perspective is...

Hello Mr Tanner. I love your pics. There are of very good quality. The PA 707 pics take me back to my childhood as PA was the best way betw JFK-TTPP in the 60s & 70s. I can't find them but at age 11, I took some pics of the hardstand at TBPB with a Kodak Instamatic. Many 707s were lined up.
