Nice photo! It is always sad to see the end of service for any aircraft.

A nice very photo of a 700 series Viscount with oval passenger doors, needle bladed props and pencil thin engine nacelles. Also, no HF radio aerial visible that I can see...unusual!

A beautiful picture of a great aircraft of it's time.

I can remember when I was a boy in Toronto (early 1960's) and they took us to then Malton Airport (now YYZ)for a fun flight around Toronto in a Viscount. Can you imagine ...on a sightseeing flight like a 182. The let us go up in the cockpit and did several steep banks around our neighborhood so we could pick out the landmarks. I hadn't thought of it in years . Thanks for rekindling that memory.

Great shot and it brought back some memories as this is the first airliner (and airline) I flew on when my dad took me from Chicago to Canada Toronto sometime around 1960

This is the aircraft on which I entered the U.S 50 years ago. Flying from England during an airline strike, Air Canada was the only carrier available. We started on a DC-8 across Canada making multiple stops. Spent the night in Vancouver. Next morning flew in a Viscount from Vancouver to Seattle Washington. America at last! (then on to LA, a 48 hour journey altogether.

Mid 1960's I remember I flew in this Vickers Viscount from the uruguayan airline PLUNA, from Montevideo (Uruguay) to Buenos Aires (Argentina). Flying time not more than 20 Minutes.

If you would like to see another Viscount, (I'll look through my photos from last year), check out the British Columbia Aviation Museum in Victoria, BC. Just neat stuff, these are break-through aircraft leading us to the jet age.

Good photo. There is an ex-Air Canada Viscount at The Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. http://www.royalaviationmuseum.com/1094/vickers-viscount/

There is also an ex-TCA Viscount at the Canada Aviation and Space Museum at Ottawa/Rockliffe, Ontario:
