jobeard - This helicopter is a Westland Whirlwind HAR.10 powered by a Bristol Siddeley Gnome turboshaft engine... and yes, a derivative of the Sikorsky S-55/H-19 Chickasaw design. :-)
jobeard - I like that word "disambiguate"... however, this helicopter is indeed a Westland Whirlwind HAR.10... :-)
The R.A.F. marked XJ729 is listed as one of the surviving HAR.10 examples on this site...

It now carries the U.K. civil aircraft registration of G-BVGE, and a search on the U.K. Civil Registry site will show it identified as a Westland Whirlwind HAR Mk.10.

jobeard - I'm not quite sure if I understand your comment. No one would argue that Westland Whirlwind does not deserves full credit for the development and manufacture of this helicopter with a turboshaft engine. If your issue is regarding the U.K. civil registration, that would not happen until the aircraft was declared surplus to the RAF's needs and it was then later sold to a private individual. However, whether it is in RAF military use or in private U.K. civil use, it remains a Westland Whirlwind HAR.10 helicopter. As far as I can determine, Sikorsky never built a production variant of their S-55/H-19 with a turboshaft engine... :-)
