Lockheed EC-130J Hercules (19-5942)
Thunder Over Louisville Practice day, 04-19-24, over the Ohio River release some chaff flares. Kentucky Air National Guard J model C-130. Beautiful sight!

Why is it showing up as an EC? Also, this is one of my planes ;)
If the chaff is to draw heat seeking missiles away this particular deployment seems to be drawing that attack to the port wing root and the adjacent engine. Nice picture, questionable tactics. While I do realize this is only a split second of the overall action, still...
