Outstanding shot! What camera and lens Frank?
Thanks Dave! This was taken with the Canon 6D, full frame sensor, and the Canon, 70-200mm, F4, ASA 160, Shutter was 800th of a second to reduce any chance of motion blur.
The aircraft was quite low by this stage, about 400ft, on short finals, so I needed to go wide at this stage. Initially I zoomed in at 200mm took a shot then zoomed out, then took a shot at 70mm.
I have been chasing this type of shot for quiet a while. Unfortunately it was not as symmetrical as I had hoped, I tried to get perfectly straight on, but the Pilot rolled the C17 slightly for a course correction, so this is the result.
