Airbus A319 (N807AW)
Down on 16L at 11:47 AM and deploying the thrust reversers and spoilers to begin slowing, AAL's N807AW completes a late morning flight from Phoenix (PHX).
Comments
The grayish sky in the background was not being caused by cloud cover. Smoke from three wildfires in California was drifting over the Sierra Nevada and severely affecting the air quality over Reno and the airport, but a short time prior to the arrival of this American Bus the wind shifted and began blowing the thick smoke back over the mountains and back into California. As this AA was approaching, the sun began to appear and the air was becoming much more breathable.
Super cool shot and with the Gary Schenauer Resort in the background - smile - blame Tom V for that.
