Hi, Darryl, and Thanks. I hung around waiting for this one to depart but the temp was getting hotter and hotter almost every minute. I lucked out and was able to be close enough to it as it rotated to catch it without heat distortion.
Today's air temp in Reno is going to be 103 under clear skies. That means the temp on the open airport grounds will easily be up in the 1teens or 1twenties. Heat wave distortion is severe but if I stay right out there next to 16L-34R I can get them cleanly as they come past me.
