Airbus A350-900 (N575DZ)
A Delta A359, N575DZ, taxies north to the RNO terminal area after arriving from MCAS Cherry Point, N. Carolina (KNKT), with a planeload of United States Marines who are headed for several weeks of unimaginably intense and physically demanding training in mountain warfare at Bridgeport, CA.
Comments
The arrival here of an A359 aircraft was an extremely rare visit for a paxbird of this size. KRNO simply does not have the passenger volume to routinely fill the seats of such aircraft so the largest passenger aircraft that normally serve this area are B738s, B739s, A320s, A321s, smaller Embraers, and one daily B757. It was a treat to see an A359 here.
