Those Southwest birds in the background create the false illusion that RNO is a busy commercial airport. It's not. Every morning, all of the gates are occupied but only because SW, AA, UA, DAL, QX, and AK all have aircraft (at least one) that RON here. But by 7:45 AM, all of them are gone and, with the exception of one daily AM Spirit flight, a couple of Southwest flights, and a sporadic Allegiant or Sun Country arrival/departure, the commercial side of the airport is deserted for 3 hours until @ 10:50 - 11:00 AM.
