Boeing 747-400 (G-BNLF)
Putting the tread to bed as it climbs away into the distance.
Comments
In an on-line web story published last week (9 Feb 2020), the recent news about BAW's record-setting B747 transatlantic flight was described. Accompanying that story was a photo of BAW's G-BNLF. Seeing that photo reminded me that I had photographed that same aircraft several years ago. It is the only British Airways Queen I have ever had the great fortune to capture.
* NOTE: G-BNLF was wfu in 2016, stored, and later scrapped.

Beautiful shot. I'll be sitting in one on a fight from Chicago to London in two days (BA 294), so I'll be sure to check the tail number.
Queen of the skies. Pitty they cannot re-enginge the 400 and 800 to a more fuel efficient power plant. Beats an A380 and 787 any day.
