McDonnell Douglas DC-8-60 (HB-IDE) - One of a series of eight Polaroid photos I took on the morning of 8 Oct 1979 from a field a short distance away from our apartment in Athens. This pic was extremely faded and I have used PS to restore it as much as possible, but when a Polaroid photo sits unprotected and exposed to light for 40 years, even Photoshop cannot restore it to "like new' condition.br /Airline: Swissair Aircraft: DC-8-62 HB-IDE Accident Date: 7 Oct 1979 br /Persons on Board: 154 Fatalities: 14br /Flight #: 316 Arriving From: Geneva

Although I posted some of this series of eight photos to other web sites a few years ago, this is the first of the eight that I have ever posted on FA.
