Piper PA-30 Twin Comanche (N8558Y) - Photo view of the Acadiana area of Louisiana from over the starboard Lycoming engine of a beautiful Piper PA-30 Twin Comanche, msn 30-1705, manufactured in 1968, with FAA registration N8558Y.br /br /Flight was local, from KLFT, Lafayette Regional Airport towards KARA, New Iberias Acadiana Regional Airport and return. The C-47/DC-3 N33VW had taken off from KLFT right behind us and we caught a view of that aircraft on final to KARA - a short hop.br /br /Photo circa 2000, Canon camera and 35mm film.

Photo view of the Acadiana area of Louisiana from over the starboard Lycoming engine of a beautiful Piper PA-30 Twin Comanche, msn 30-1705, manufactured in 1968, with FAA registration N8558Y.

Flight was local, from KLFT, Lafayette Regional Airport towards KARA, New Iberia's Acadiana Regional Airport and return. The C-47/DC-3 N33VW had taken off from KLFT right behind us and we caught a view of that aircraft on final to KARA - a short hop.

Always loved the Comanche and twin Comanche...they don't build them like they used to

Sam, that was my first ride ever in a Comanche. It has since been one of my favorite types! I still remember this flight vividly.
