Doug If they didnt do that you would have nothing to moan about
Doug, just go away.
'Way back in January of 1930 a Ford Tri-motor like the one in this photo took off from Tijuana and was headed north to Los Angeles. It encountered heavy rain squalls and crashed near Oceanside, CA, killing all 16 aboard. At the time it was the worst disaster in American aviation. I live in Oceanside and have never been able to pinpoint the crash site. It was 93years ago and is completely forgotten.
I'm so grateful that MY life's experiences have included opportunities to fly, fly in, observe, and otherwise be around, a wide variety of planes that deserve to be seen twice in one week...some twice in one day !!! Maybe Doug has not. That would be sad.
The Ford Trimotors are beautiful aircraft. I am very fortunate to have been able to make 2 short “right seat” flights out over Ohio in 2021 on the Liberty Aviation Museum’s “City Of Port Clinton” (NC9645), a 1928 model 5-AT-B Ford Tri-Motor. Between the 2 flights I was able to log 0.8 hr “Dual” time on the controls…...and can’t wait to fly it again. Glad their caretakers are keeping them flying!
All older Aircraft are nice to admire but flying one is special. I worked for a crop duster outfit and the owner had a Stagger Wing Beech , took us up and flew around church steeples as pylons in Idaho.
A most memorable moment was meeting Jimmy Doolittle, Nut Tree Airport -Vacaville, Ca.
Aviation has its memories. Vietnam VET , Mission Briefer, T-28 / Huey / Birddog /C123 C119 ( 1963)

Doug Irvin doesn't deserve to be a member, please go away . . .
Jeff,
EXCELLENT crystal clear image! Thank you for the 'bit slower' shutter speed capturing the propeller whirl. Do you mind sharing camera, lens, exposure info?

I'm thinking how awsome at that angle the G force would be at take-off
Grow up Doug & act like a Mature Adult
