I liked Jim's composition of this particular photo... granted that I personally try to never "cut off" a portion of an aircraft's propellor(s)... Now, that said, there are many circumstances where such is clearly what works best to set up the optimum photo composition given what the photographer has to work with at that specific time and place... i.e. - focal length of lens, size of aircraft, etc.

This photo is apparently a great example of why there are no "ironclad" rules in photography or art... albeit, it is an example of Jim's photo work from six years ago!
