Canada Day is July 1. 2018 was the 151st anniversary of confederation.
Fancy. eh ?
Dan Chiasson
Canada Day, as it has been known since 1983, is July 1st of each year and is a federal (ie: national) statutory holiday. However, from an employment perspective, a statutory employment holiday is set for the following Monday should July 1st fall on a Saturday or Sunday as was the case this year. And indeed the cf-18 was painted for the 150th anniversary which was last year. Apparently, they have kept the aircraft painted with the cool theme! Not sure it would be going into active duty as such though!!!!

Magnificent paint on an amazing aircraft.

Great photo of an unknown aircraft.
