On seeeing the photo my immediate thought was a Pilatus, built for stol in the alps, look at the engine size verses the aircraft, a right rocket.

This is a DHC-3T - a turbine Otter. I believe it is Talkeetna Air Taxi's N100BW (s/n 58). I was just up on the mountain (Denali) last Sunday, and can tell you from personal observation that both K-2 Aviation and TAT fly a few of this type up onto the mountain from Talkeetna several times per day, wx permitting. The turbine Otter is readily distinguishable from its radial powered sibling by the elongated nose. I haven't seen anyone regularly flying any turbine beavers or Pilatus acft up onto the mountain.
