Is this a replica or is it the real deal? I didn't know that there were any airworthy originals.

There aren't any original flyable ME-262's, all are replicas with GE J85 engines. This one fly's in Germany.

One helluva airplane! Replica or Original? Hope it is one of the Originals!

Unfortunately, there are no flying originals in the world :(
One of the few originals you can see near Prague.

Technically, the ME262 at the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum in Washington, DC is flyable. When it was restored at the Silver Hill, MD facility some years ago, it was restored to flyable condition. The mechanic who did most of the restoration told me, however, that as an irreplacible historic WWII war relic, it never would be flown.
