Technology, makes a Husky look like a Thunderbird or Blue Angel. Ain't it great?

Beautiful!

how would this photo have been taken? Gopro mounted to the wing or another aircraft flying close? thanks
Paul Wisgerhof
Super shot. The a/c is an Aviat A-1-C

@patrickfelstead I think from another aircraft flying in formation or close. I first thought a 360, like the GoPro Max, but in order to get that view it would have had to been mounted on a pole from the wing. If it was a 360 camera on the plane I'd love to know how they mounted it.

Totally Amazing!

Incredible photo!

Some GoPro (or other brand) camera's have software that eliminates the "stick" from the image. The "stick" holds the camera while the "photographer" holds the other end of the "stick". Images usually end up looking weird because you still see a 'hand' gripping the other end of the "stick". 🙄 I assume this "feature" is designed to aid in taking 'selfies'?
Douglas Yarbenet
WOW!

I think Jim has got it. There is a color variance coming off the wing at the leading edge and traveling up and to the right. Also, what is mounted underneath the wing? The part anchoring the camera stick? It does look like it was taken by a camera and then Photoshopped with thecamera's software to eliminate the "stick".

Where was the photographer standing?

weird.....but cool

I couldn't figure out what I was looking at in the thumbnail in the weekly FA email. Creative shot.

Photo that looks like a formation photo was a selfie. An INSTA360 X2 camera mounted on a FlightFlix mount on the wingtip. Camera is probably 15 inches in front of the wingtip.
