I don't really remember this version of Panagra serving Memphis (originally Panagra was a joint venture between Pan Am and some other cargo carrier which ended in the 60s(?) and the name was recycled later (in the 90s?)).

Panagra was Pan American-Grace Airways. 'Grace' came from Grace Shipping Lines. According to Wikipedia, it started operations in 1928 and ceased in 1967 when it merged with Braniff International Airways. Quite an extensive story on Wiki.

"The Panagra name was resurrected during the late 1990s when a new airline which billed itself as Panagra Airways operating Boeing 727-200 jetliners." (Wiki)

Lonnie - From what I can find out there, apparently the "new" Panagra" only flew the -200 version. However, with that said, one of the noticeable differences between the -100 and the -200 was the shape of the #2 Engine, with "The dorsal intake of the number-two engine was also redesigned to be round in shape, rather than oval as it was on the -100 series." (Wiki). Besides that, the -200 was also 20 feet longer than the -100.
Counting the windows forward of the wing-root, and looking at the shape of #2, this aircraft "appears" to be a B721 - which goes completely against Panagra claiming to be a B722 flyer.
As for the Reg Number - who knows.

Thanks for the informative comment, Viv. Wish there were more of these around to photograph. Here in Canada, CargoJet was using some, but i havent seen any activity from those lately so i’m assuming they’ve stopped using them. Stay well.
