Surprise! there's nobody on the Beach at St marteen's... which is the game there during landings..

Photoshopped...pretty sure. Look at the cheatlines and the eagles in the tail. Frankly speaking I doubt AA DC10's ever flew to SXM.

What is this photo for now ?

OK, found a few rare pics of a DC10 at SXM. But still, this is badly shopped.

The photograph was not altered other than adjusting the image size. The photo was taken in July of 1992 very early in the morning. The DC-10 type aircraft was not the largest aircraft that I witnessed arriving at St. Maarten.

Seriously? What could possibly be gained by spending the time to photo shop a photo to place on this site? So cynical. Don't pick at it just enjoy. Shhesh!

Also the type aircraft is not an A321 as in the activity log.

Joe Wood, nothing to do with cynical. Look yourself detailed at the picture, cheatlines, the american flag and eagle in the tail. You may agree it looks really blurred.
So either it is repainted or, as the poster confirmed it is real, must be really bad quality or the aircraft was already shortly before phase out. I am aware SXM takes bigger aircraft, but the AA DC10 is not a usual sight for that airport.

Charles Rogers: Probably because N147AA has been carried by an A321 since 21Oct2015.
The reg for this DC-10 was canx 11Aug1998.

OK. another 2-cents... I do not see photo-shop artifacts, I see film image (slid) scanned to digital, not ideal photo conditions, and no crowd because this is 1st Flt in the morning as minimums lift at St Maarten, back-in-the-day. And I think it is a Douglas DC-10-10 acft (no center single bogy gear) likely built in an early production run and already has almost 20 years of wear-and-tear on her. AA did fly 10s there...
