Southwest Boeing 737 near Los Angeles on Dec 3rd 2017, burning odour in cabin

I am not sure how this is news... there are a lot of things that can cause this.. Many times it is an ACM in the packs that blow a seal or a multitude of other items... From an old quote: "Nothing to see here people.. Move on"
Is "capton" still being used to insulate electrical lines running throughout current aircraft? CASB and the US NAVY believes that it contributed to the dreadful MD-11 Swissair crash in St. Margrets Bay, about 50km south of Halifax in 1998?
I don't think so... At least I have not seen it in years, and yes, it is believe that was a contributor to that fire on Swiss Air, but that fire would have happened with or without that tape. The inflight entertainment system was not designed or installed as it should have been which was the root cause.
Ugh... Insulation, not necessarily tape...
