United Co-pilot falls unconscious during flight, San Francisco bound 787 diverts to Albuquerque.
A United Airlines Boeing 787 co-pilot fell ill and later unconscious while flying from Houston, Texas to San Francisco, California Tuesday morning. The pilot was able to safely land the plane in Albuquerque New Mexico at 8:20am (MDT). This comes a day after an American Airlines captain dies mid-flight. No passengers were injured, and the crew member was taken to the hospital for evaluation. (www.travelpulse.com) Más...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
"Unconscious but stable" for an extended period after some event like this as the article implies is not a good sign. Hopefully he/she will turn the corner.
Agreed. Sure FAA will want full body scan and every test known to man to determine his fitness for getting his medical back and returning to flying. Hope it turns out to be something very fixable and on the "allowable" list.
Certainly....but that is a short list for neurological problems.
