Emirates takes delivery of 65th A380, retires Boeing 777-200 fleet
Emirates Airline has taken delivery of its 65th Airbus A380-800 and has phased out its last Boeing 777-200. Emirates aircraft assets manager Philip Audsley said in a statement, “So far, in 2014 and 2015 we have phased out three Boeing 777-200s and eight Airbus A340-500s on schedule … For the year 2015/2016, we’re planning a total of 10 phase-outs. According to Wikipedia includes the phaseout only the 777-200ER, and 300 models. The 200LR and 300ER will stay. by 2022 they will get the new 777X aircraft's.
