Airbus Likens Boeing To Pinocchio
Readers of airline industry trade magazines are apparently being treated to an ad campaign from Airbus, with the European planemaker accusing Boeing of exaggerating its performance data for the 737 MAX and the 747-8. Boeing, meanwhile, is not letting the charges go unanswered (www.aero-news.net) Más...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
Most of Airbus fleet is poor copies of Boeing aircraft. I will no longer fly on Airbus aircraft. Boeing is American.
They certainly copied a lot... Should have been some copyright suits you would have thought. They had some unique idea, that I wish they had steered away from.
If you can't compete with them on even ground, bring them down to your level... Airbus will never reach the status of Boeing... I will never understand how the FAA allowed a plane into the US that does not have a cable backup system... A perfect recipe for a disaster.
Airbus can't compete? Cannot reach Boeing's level? Seems that's exactly what they're doing. And based on your 'no cable backup' comment the 777 and CRJs shouldn't be flying either. Ho hum.
CRJ's have cable backup to all flight controls, so if the power goes down, cables still control the actuators. On the Airbus, if they LOOSE ALL electrical as happened on the DC=9 a number of years with an electrical fire, there are no cables to backup the electric to any of the flight controls... There are still a lot of differences.
The original CRJ has mechanical backups in the pitch and yaw axis, but FBW ailerons/spoilers, now the CRJ 1000 has FBW rudder now. C-series is full FBW too.
