Stopped here last weekend to meet another aircraft for a dog transport. Plane was refueled quickly, the counter person brought out water and a dog treat, and didn't bat an eye when the dog had an accident (my passenger did mop it up). Fresh coffee was nice too. Cessna Skylane RG |

Everything was wonderful with this FBO BUT, we were quoted by the company representative that met us at the airplane for overnight tie down a rate of $15 per night. When we went to check out and leave the following day, we were billed $25 for the night plus some tax. The excuse was that the line personnel is not supposed to quote tie down. That is crazy and dishonorable. This company should have stood by the price that was initially stated by their representative and not changed the rate at the end. A closer analysis of the invoice shows that this is the rate paid by Jets/Turboprop. I was flying a single engine piston prop airplane. Not at all an airplane falling in the jet or turboprop category. Additionally, this airport is barely used and out in the middle of nowhere. A $25 tie down fee is freaking crazy. They let us run late with their courtesy car and that was very nice of them, the experience was good, BUT, business in this industry should be honorably conducted. The president came out to greet me and talk about this. They would not budge on the charge initially, and after a short discussion with the president of the company, I told him not to worry about the charge, that it wasn't about the money but about the ethics... You would have thought that the very president of this FBO would have even wiped out the charge completely (I purchased $200 in fuel) but, to my disbelief, he left the charge on my card. SHOCKED!!!! Is this guy that broke? Is this company that screwed up? DONT STOP AT THIS FBO. WHILE THEY DO HAVE GOOD, THEIR FINAL BEHAVIOR DESTROYED ALL THE GOOD. GET ANY QUOTE FROM THESE GUYS IN WRITING SINCE THEY DO NOT HONOR THEIR WORD. Mooney M-20 |
