Cool! This heli is such a dragonfly mimic!
Needed 6 lifts with one of these at GM Truck and Bus in Pontiac, Michigan to place a Standard Havens Bag House atop the 3rd story of the assembly barn. $60,000 per lift. The guy owned the helo and his wife was the rigger.
At the end of Vietnam the US Army sold some of these to Evergreen for not much more than the cost of the engines. Also a Japanese company did a lot of logging with them in Indonesia.
Just a great and big ugly utilitarian bird that has but one purpose. Beauty in its own way!
