Nice shot!

My previous snaps of this special livery were taken in poor weather at night and ended up being only good enough to use as "proof" shots so I'm very pleased to have caught it again yesterday arriving and then later .. departing (seen here). The highest priority special JBU livery on my "Must Catch" list is "Blueprint," but my #1 Ultra Top Priority special paint flies in United's fleet.

Gary-is that the mountain you use for your high ground shots? Outstanding picture and backdrop.

Dave .. Yep, that's it. Doesn't look like anything too impressive from this angle, but it is a tad more daunting when standing at the base and preparing to climb up. It is actually less than a one-mile climb, but it is quite steep, it must be done on foot, it is pitch black during the hours of darkness, the terrain is covered with loose rocks, the most common inhabitants are coyotes, rabbits, and rattlers; and there are no "facilities' at the top (no restroom, no windbreak or protection from the elements, no lights, etc), and as a result, it isn't heavily trafficked by humans. (Grin. If it WAS easy or if people COULD drive up there; there would already be a McDonald's or a Wendy's or a WalMart there at the top. lol) But for those who are willing to prepare, to invest a bit of time and to put out a fair degree of physical effort, the reward is worth it because the view is truly outstanding.
